ADE is one of those festivals where you end up crossing paths with so many amazing people. This time, it was Panda Lassow—an artist I’ve followed for ages—who popped up in my inbox with the sweetest Echobox Radio invite. Featuring Dany E & Pau Pau in chat and mix, talking about both playing at Creatures of the Night ADE Showcase.

ADE is massive, and with a festival that big, you’re bound to have some crazy encounters. Panda Lassow is an artist I’ve been following for ages, and I’ve tried to catch her at as many gigs as possible, sometimes appearing out of nowhere in front of the booth. This time, though, she was the one who surprised me, sliding into my inbox with the loveliest invite for her radio show.
Panda hosts this brilliant show on Echobox Radio in Amsterdam called “Endlich Wochenende”. When she saw we were throwing the Creatures Of the Night Label Showcase, she asked me to join her program to chat about it and play some tunes for 30 minutes. (Mix without interview below).
On the radio show, she also featured Pau Pau, who’s based in Dresden—the same city Panda’s in right now. They’ve met before, so it was a nice connection for such a sweet showcase. Panda called me up for a quick chat about the event and to share the details for the public. I was in Guanajuato, Mexico, at the time, early sunny & warm morning…I’ll always remember how nice that chat was.
I put together my mixtape with the vibes I’ve always felt from her sets—it’s not often I get to share my records in these genres, so it felt special. I played it flawlessly, the thing was a first take with no errors whatsoever, freaking awesome and felt really happy with how it turned out. Next time, I’m hoping we can share a booth in person and have more of those chats—and ofc more music preferably out of nowhere too.
