México 24 — Touring home.

Back in my home country, back in the lovely madness. Mexico always delivers, ofc. Was a cool balanced mix of family friends and full-on beats.

Back in my home country, absorbing any piece of culture, reconnecting with my roots, and eating my body weight in good food…maybe I took it too far this time. I had the chance to be back at my residencies in Mexico City: Sunday Sunday and Departamento. Also got to swing by Guadalajara for the legendary Hard-Aerobics party (read about
here) and the extra spice at Orbita (read about
here).
Still don’t know how my residencies manage to keep the energy so ridiculously high, weekend after weekend, year after year. Most likely you’ve gotta be in Mexico City to understand how that works, I’m just grateful for it.
I prepared some art for this tour, features Very Good Music logo, spoiler alert. I loved the vibe of the art, below all of the posts.
The weekend was full-on. So threesome of gigs in a row, dancers fully committed how it should be. Felt amazing to be deep in Guadalajara’s scene. It started at Departamento for Galaxie Nites this time around between Dam Vera and lovely Soni Ceron. A lot of good friends there, party was lit. I flew directly to Hard Aerobics, it felt amazing to be fully immersed in Guadalajara’s scene.
Straight after that, I was back in Mexico City for Sunday Sunday, “fresh” running purely on vibes. Nonstop good memories. I linked up with the Eternal Love who played right before me at the terrace, and I had my slot before my dearest SOOS. I played a track for SOOS for a memorable moment between me and him with a loop saying “I’m a friend of Joshua”, what a proper moment, footage down.
And I still I get nervous before Sunday Sunday! I love that feeling.
Let’s see what the next round in my lovely, lovely country brings, I can’t wait.
